How to Delete your Data in Traceloop
Last updated: December 20, 2024
Traceloop currently does not provide a direct user interface or API endpoint for deleting individual trace results and prompts. However, there are a few options available for managing your data:
Data Retention Policy
By default, Traceloop has a data retention policy of 30 days. This means that all trace results and prompts are automatically deleted after 30 days from their creation date.
Manual Data Deletion
If you need to delete data before the 30-day retention period, you have the following options:
Contact Support: Reach out to the Traceloop support team over slack or over email at [email protected] to request deletion of specific data or all data associated with your account.
Account Deletion: If you want to remove all your data, you can request a complete account deletion through customer support.
Best Practices
To minimize the need for manual deletion:
Use separate accounts or projects for testing and production data.
Be mindful of the data you're sending to Traceloop, especially during testing phases.
Regularly review your data usage and needs.
Note: Traceloop is continuously improving its platform. Check the official documentation or contact support for the most up-to-date information on data management features.
